Terrific boots.
I bought these in 2019 and have been wearing them regularly since. I wear them while hiking, working, at home, on holidays, aboard ships and boats, and during the summer and winter. I have even worn them in the Wadden Sea (salt water) when looking for oysters and mussels. These boots are not waterproof, of course, but they will keep your feet dry for quite some time when walking in the mud.
In my opinion they are worth every penny. It does take a while for them to get comfortable but when you wear them enough they will mold to your feet.
The only thing I didn’t like was the faux fur insole that got thin below my heels quite quickly. I pulled them out after about a year and have since been walking on the thick leather midsole. This midsole is now exactly the shape of my feet and despite the nails used to hold it all together it is really comfortable. I once was in such a hurry that I didn’t have time to put socks on and once the job was done I couldn’t be bothered to put them on anyway.
I would really recommend them, and I hope to buy a pair of William Lennon boots in the future.
