I’ve had a pair of these without hobnails for three years, worn every day for work in a workshop. They’ve been resoled and heeled every year and are as solid now as when new – DMs used to fall apart after six months at work. I’d say the sizing runs a little large.

I bought a pair of these twelve years ago and after breaking in they are so comfortable. The only thing i have done to them is to replace the laces (once!) and applied a fresh dob of dubbin now and again. I wear them frequently and the sound of the hobs on metalled surfaces always attracts attention! I would buy another pair without hesitation except for the fact that the ones I have will probably out-live me! Beautiful boots indeed.
